What to Expect

Eye-catching landscapes; crystal clear waters next to golden coasts; traditional Pelion architecture; rugged natural landscapes and pure island atmosphere are what Skopelos adds up to. It is part of the Sporades island group and it has three ports: Skopelos, Agnontas and Glossa. Skopelos’ strongest card is its jaw dropping beaches with pine trees touching its turquoise waters as well as its fascinating local cuisine. If you’ve been to the island, you’d know that no one can resist their strifti (twisted phyllo dough) cheese pie, renowned throughout the country. The island enjoyed international acclaim when Hollywood producers chose it to shoot the famous movie “Mamma Mia!”, establishing it as a holiday destination for travellers coming from around the world.

Day 1 Skyros – Skopelos

• Gathering and meet up at the Marina of Skyros 30′ before departure
• Embarkation on the speedboat
• Arrival at Skopelos Port.
• Swimming at the turquoise waters of Panormos Beach
• Boat tour at the Southern Beaches of Skopelos
• Return to Skyros Marina, just before sunset.

Information about Skopelos:

The island’s beautiful capital town Chora on the northern coast is located on a hillside and sprawls around the mediaeval castle with sweeping views over the Aegean Sea. Glossa is Skopelos’ second biggest village after Chora.  “The tall village” according to Greek novelist Papadiamantis is distinctive for its traditional and noble style. Narrow alleys, well preserved Skopelian design houses, colourful corners make this village a destination you shouldn’t miss. Don’t miss the villages of Panormos and Stafylos with their renowned pebble beaches and facilities.
